Level 3 Certificate and Diploma in Independent Advocacy
   
Inclusive Access, in partnership with Wired, is a City & Guilds Centre delivering the Level 3 Certificate and Diploma. The qualification accredits and recognises the skills and experience of new and experienced advocates and professionals who use advocacy as part of another role. The qualification is based upon the building of a portfolio of evidence of competence demonstrating ability, skills and experience applied in a practical way in the workplace.  This is an exciting opportunity for all advocates to work towards and achieve a recognised qualification.

Advocacy Courses - Telephone 0151 653 7111

IMCA

Three day taught course covering all aspects of the Independent Mental Capacity Advocate role.  This course will give advocates the knowledge and confidence to practise successfully as IMCA`s.

IMHA

Three day taught course covering all aspects of the Independent Mental Health Advocate role.  This course will give advocates all the knowledge they need to fulfill the IMHA statutory role.

Next Course :  12th - 14th September 2011

DoLS

Three day taught course on the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards advocacy within the IMCA DoLS role.  This course is intended for advocates already working as IMCAs.

Next Course :   28th - 30th November 2011

Principles of Advocacy : The course is accredited by OCN (the Open College Network) and requires learners to do a short assignment in between training days.  Please contact Anna on ap@inclusiveaccess.co.uk for further details.

  • Understand different methods of communicating - verbal and non verbal
  • Understanding safeguarding issues for children, young people and vulnerable adults

1) Certificate in Independent Advocacy

The certificate is at Level 3 of the qualifications and credit framework.  To achieve the certificate the learners must complete 4 mandatory units + 1 optional unit.

    2) Diploma in Independent Advocacy - Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards

    The diploma is at Level 3 of the qualifications and credit framework.  To achieve the certificate the learners must complete 4 mandatory units (as certificate) and 2 further mandatory units:
