Access Audits
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requires you
not to discriminate against disabled people in the provision
of your goods and services. Where appropriate, you must
make reasonable adjustments to enable you to provide
a service to disabled people on an equal basis with other
customers.
Our access audit service provides a clear and thorough
review of any access issues facing a disabled person
when accessing goods and services. An audit enables informed
decision making about any adjustments required and aids
the formulation a plan of action for the future.
Inclusive Access audits are designed to help clients
improve access to services and premises for their disabled
customers. They are recommended by the Disability Rights
Commission as the preferred way for businesses to meet
their responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination
Act.
All of our access auditors are members of the National
Register of Access Consultants. (www.NRAC.org.uk)
Access audits undertaken by Inclusive
Access are tailor made for each individual customer,
but will follow the
standard process of:
- An initial meeting to discuss
your specific requirements and tailor our service to
meet your needs
- Review of your premises and measuring all aspects of the
environment – property and service
- Provision of a full access audit report, including recommendations
for improvement
Our auditors will present the audit report to the client
at the end in a presentation format where questions and
concerns can be answered on the spot and Inclusive Access
can advise on prioritisation and formulation of an implementation
plan following the audit.
